The Client
The Wool Merchant Hotel is a well-established independent hotel based in Halifax town centre. In early 2016 the hotel underwent an extensive refurbishment, which included overhauling some of the venue’s 55 hotel rooms, alongside the reception area, boardroom, bar and the ‘La Taverna’ restaurant.
To ensure the brand and marketing collateral reflected the new modern styling, we were selected to develop a new brand with accompanying marketing materials, alongside providing public relations services.

With the Wool Merchant Hotel being a well-known establishment in Halifax, we wanted to employ the services of a locally-based design and marketing agency that could fully understand our requirements.
Shrewdd’s creative designs for our new brand, ‘La Taverna’ menus and marketing collateral have all been of a very high standard and well received by staff, diners and hotel guests.
With Shrewdd’s assistance, the Wool Merchant Hotel now has a brand which complements the significant investment we have put in to the hotel. We will certainly be working with Shrewdd on a host of new projects in the future.
