Local talent at work
The UK's largest drinks dispense service company Innserve appointed Shrewdd to launch its Best Cellars Awards 2012. For the campaign we worked with local actor Simon Kirk, who became the campaign's fictional character Rupert Lovebeer and photographer Kieron Nevison. Steve Lakin, business development manager at Innserve commented:
"We are really excited to be launching the campaign for 2012 with Rupert Lovebeer. Shrewdd Marketing has developed a fantastic concept for this year's launch, the best we've ever had."

Alf recently dined with Manchester City manager and Italy football legend Roberto Mancini at a cultural evening organised in Manchester by CDLCI - part of the Italian Consulate.
CDLCI promotes the Italian language and culture as well as the relationship between Britain and Italy which goes as far back as the Grand Tour.

Congratulations
We would like to congratulate our client EMSc (UK) Ltd who recently won the Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Award for Innovation of the Year. The company, which won the award for its revolutionary Powerstar MAX voltage optimisation system, was presented with the award by Nick Clegg, the Deputy Prime Minister.
The Powerstar solution is popular with both the private and public sector because of the tangible energy saving benefits it provides, not only helping organisations to meet carbon reduction commitments, but also cutting electricity costs at a time when surging energy prices are having a major impact on budgets.

Harvard Shortlisted
We would like to congratulate one of our customers Harvard Engineering plc for being named one of the most innovative companies in the UK. With Shrewdd Marketing’s support, Harvard - manufacturer of what is believed to be the world’s first wireless street lighting control and monitoring system - has been shortlisted for the coveted Orange Innovation Award, in the 10th annual National Business Awards.
Harvard was also recently awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2011, within the Innovation category, and with the Innovation Award at the Wakefield Business Awards 2011.

A right Royal visit
Shrewdd Marketing is pleased to announce that Harvard Engineering’s new premises were officially opened by HRH The Duke of Kent at an event held on Thursday 12th May.
HRH The Duke of Kent also presented Harvard with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise, within the innovation category, won for the company’s innovative LeafNut street lighting control system. The event, which was organised by Shrewdd Marketing, was a great success and everyone had a fantastic day!

Harvard wins Queen’s Award for Street Lighting Innovation
With the help of Shrewdd Marketing, Harvard Engineering has won a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise within the Innovation Category.
Harvard has been awarded the Queen’s Award for its innovative wireless street lighting management system, LeafNut, which is helping Local Councils around the world cut energy usage and reduce carbon emissions.

Shrewdd Thinking
We are pleased to announce we have been appointed by Weir Power & Industrial, part of the FTSE 100 The Weir Group PLC and Clugston Construction, part of the Clugston Group, to run PR campaigns across national and international media.
Shrewdd continues to grow its client portfolio despite the current economic climate, having also recently secured a contract to provide services to Sheffield based EMS Powerstar.
Due to the continued success the company is also looking to recruit two new account managers, which means that in a little over twelve months we will have more than doubled our team to seven.

Shrewdd helping to bring the World to our Doorstep
Shrewdd Marketing is supporting the World On Your Doorstep (WOYD) 2011 festival marketing activities. Organisers of the festival, which is planned for summer 2011, are hoping to raise £30,000 to help pay for the event. The WOYD embraces the diversity of different cultures in West Yorkshire by celebrating the tradition of welcoming varying groups into the region.

Shrewdd Marketing has recently secured three new contracts with Clugston Construction, one of the North’s leading building and civil engineering companies, MetalTek International, a US-based casting company with offices worldwide, and Fernco Environmental, a company focusing on minimising the environmental impact within the sewerage and drainage industries which is part of the US Fernco group. The new contracts include a variety of marketing activities.

Shrewdd Marketing has recently made three new appointments to support its continued growth. Tony Beddows has joined the team as creative director. Tony has over 20 years experience working in the creative media industry. Amelia Annakin has joined as trainee marketing executive. She is currently studying the CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing. Stephanie Howard-Smith who has joined as sales executive, recently completed a degree at Leeds Metropolitan University in Media and Popular Culture.
